GOTHENBURG Augusti 11, 2015 – Existing management has together with new management and investors acquired Miveo Car Sharing AB from parent Pilotfish Networks AB.

Pilotfish is a leading supplier of both telematic solutions for public transport and car-sharing since 2003 with mutual benefits of joint development of common technologies and products. The markets for both public transport telematics and car-sharing have lately seen a tremendous development requiring new value prospositions while reducing the synergies between the two business areas.

The car-sharing business has been operated as Miveo Car-sharing AB, a fully owned subsidiary to Pilotfish since 2013. The board of directors in Pilotfish has now decided to divest Miveo in a combined management buy-in/buy-out led by the CEO of Miveo, Erik Nordenfelt.

“The car-sharing market has only started to grow and we expect it accelerate significantly the next years to come”, says Erik Nordenfelt, CEO of Miveo Car-sharing AB. “As an supplier with a dedicated team and well-proven technology, we are now in a good position to pursue the opportunities in this exciting market.”

Miveo will continue to co-operate with Pilotfish under a transfer agreement, providing both parties the full right to use jointly developed technology for the individual markets.

Nordenfelt is joined in the buy-out by Jan Lindblad, chairman of the board and Anders Qvist, CTO together with new management and partners Richard Englund, Christian Lulek and Mikael Molin.
